Small-batch ice cream, churned fresh every morning at our Fairfield Avenue shop. No shortcuts, no rush — just real ingredients and a whole lot of patience.
Our Story
Longfords started with a simple belief: the best ice cream shouldn't be rushed. Every batch is churned by hand in small quantities at our Fairfield Avenue kitchen, so you always get something that tastes like it was made for you.
We source real cream, fresh eggs, and seasonal fruit from local farms whenever we can. Our vanilla comes from Madagascar beans. Our chocolate is melted from couverture. Our strawberries arrive in June and last exactly as long as they should.
That's what small batch means — we don't make enough to fill a warehouse. We make enough to get it right.

What's Churning
Rotating selections change with the seasons. Call ahead to check what's available — we'll tell you what we're most proud of.
Real vanilla beans, scraped and steeped. The one that started it all.
Double-couverture chocolate, melted slow. Deep, dark, and unapologetic.
June berries, crushed and folded in. Sweet, tart, and gone too soon.
Grade-A matcha, whisked into a velvety base. Earthy, bright, and smooth.
Raw honey from a Connecticut apiary, toasted oats folded through.
Double-shot espresso, folded into a dark cream base. For the late afternoons.
The Experience
Longfords isn't just ice cream — it's the kind of place where the bell above the door rings when you walk in, and someone remembers your name. Our Fairfield Avenue shop is small, warm, and always open to anyone who wants to sit a while.
Whether you're grabbing a single scoop to go, sharing a bowl on our patio, or stopping by after dinner for something sweet — we make it feel like you belong here.
Running this shop is personal. Every scoop carries that.
We're here whenever the craving hits — even Tuesday nights.
